Abstract submission requirements


  • Submitted work must be original. It may be published or unpublished.
    • Encore presentations are welcome and encouraged as long as the material was presented no more than 1 year prior to April 2023 (i.e., presented between May 2022 to April 2023). Please review the section below for more details.**
  • All listed authors must approve of submitting this work and agree to the terms of submission.
  • The body of your abstract should be no more than 400 words.
  • Files must be uploaded as .pdf, .doc, or .docx formats ONLY.
  • Abstract topics should be relevant to the field of clinical cancer genetics and/or precision medicine, including:
    • Clinical cancer genetics/genomics
    • Precision medicine
    • Management in hereditary cancers
    • Genetic cancer risk assessment care-delivery models
    • Psychosocial dynamics of genetic cancer risk assessment
    • Case reports/series relevant to the above topics

**Encore Presentations: If you have presented a poster (any position in authorship) no more than 1 year prior to April 2023 (i.e., presented between May 2022 to April 2023), we welcome and encourage you to submit your abstract at the link above for consideration. If selected, there is no need to recreate your poster if it is already produced and complies with the 42 inches by 42 inches maximum dimensions.


Scholarships


To help address disparities in access to quality Genetic Cancer Risk Assessment (GCRA) services, a limited number of full and partial scholarships are available to applicants who provide clinical GCRA services to socio-economically underserved populations in the United States or internationally, submit an abstract/poster, and are selected for inclusion in our interprofessional poster reception.


Responsibilities of the submitter/presenter


  • All abstracts accepted for presentation must be prepared in poster format with maximum dimensions of 42 inches by 42 inches. If accepted submission is an encore presentation, there is no need to recreate the poster as long as it complies with the 42 inches by 42 inches maximum dimensions.
  • The author(s) agree(s) to materially confine the poster presentation to information in the abstract, if accepted for presentation.
  • Posters must be set up by submitting author and/or co-authors prior to the poster session in the designated area.
  • Posters must be presented in-person by the submitting author and/or co-authors during the session from 5:00 to 7:00 pm PT on May 5, 2023.
