Cancellation Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

The FASEB SRC team understands that this unprecedented situation has presented many issues for all our valued SRC attendees. If you have questions beyond the ones covered here, contact [email protected].

Q1. Why was The Intestinal Lipid Metabolism Conference postponed?
FASEB SRC leadership and our scientific organizers have been closely monitoring the spread of COVID-19. Based on the latest guidance from public health officials, the travel bans implemented by different institutions and the various states of emergency being declared, it became clear that postponing was the right course of action.

This action was further confirmed by concerns received from SRC registrants, cancellations of similarly sized conferences globally and in the U.S., and an increased volume of confirmed cases of COVID-19 throughout the world.

Q2. When will the conference be held?
The conference has been postponed until 2023.

Q3. Will registrations be refunded?
Everyone who has registered to attend the conference will receive a full refund within 5-10 business days. Once your registration cancellation is processed, you will receive a confirmation receipt via email. We will initiate your refund automatically. As a result, you will not need to contact us for initiation of your refund.

Q4. Will participants be refunded for airline tickets or other transportation or hotel and housing expenses?
Attendees and speakers are responsible for cancelling and securing refunds for any personal arrangements they’ve made. This includes travel and housing reservations, and any off-site activities reserved individually.

Q6. Can I apply my registration fee to a FASEB SRC in the next cycle?
Registration fees cannot be applied to future meetings. You will receive a full refund.
