The main themes of this meeting are: 1) The intestinal microbiota and its influence on lipid absorption and whole animal lipid physiology; 2) Intestinal regulation of bile acid metabolism and their impact on physiology; 3) The cell biology and physiology of specific key cell types of the intestine (enterocyte, enteroendocrine, and stem cells).
Conference sessions will present the latest research findings and foster engaging discussion on:
Enterocytes: Cell biology and lipid trafficking
Enteroendocrine cell biology, signaling, and physiology
Intestinal stem cell biology
Intestinal regulation of bile acid metabolism and their impact on physiology
Intestinal microbiota and its influence on lipid absorption and physiology
Emerging technologies for studying intestinal biology and lipid metabolism
Intestinal lipid metabolism and the gut-brain axis
Intestine and metabolic disease
The conference covers eight sessions with two selected abstract presentations, and a “Meet the Expert” panel discussing elements of being a successful scientist.
