Michael A. Nalesnik, MD

Dr. Nalesnik is a Professor of Pathology at the Division of Transplantation Pathology, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.   Dr. Nalesnik’s specific research interests center on post-transplant lymphoproliferative disorders which often occur in association with Epstein-Barr virus infection. He is also involved with the problem of liver neoplasia in transplant candidates/patients and provides support for investigations into donor organ preservation.

Christopher C. Curran, CPTC, CTBS, CTOP


Christopher Curran has been with NEOB since 2000 and serving as the Director of Organ Operations & Surgical Recovery since September, 2013. 

Chris began working in the field of organ and tissue procurement over 16 years ago.  In his current role as Chris deals with all aspects of the organ donation process including evaluation of organ donors for medical suitability as well as oversight of organ allocation, recovery and preservation.
