For 116 years, Goodwill® has innovated social enterprises and responses to community needs. The Goodwill Industries International Summer Conference is an opportunity for Goodwill® retail, marketing, information technology, finance, business services and development to engage in networking and learning opportunities. The conference also celebrates achievements of attendees during the awards event. 
 

The 2016 Summer Conference is scheduled for August 6 – 10, 2016, at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis Hotel. The conference theme, “Back To The Future” will explore how Goodwill leaders continue to build on the enterprise goals of advancing the mission, building business and strengthening our brand. We are excited that the conference format and sessions will facilitate rich and meaningful conversations. Registration deadline is August 1, 2016.

You will not want to miss the Kickoff General Session, "If You Could Predict the Economy, What Would You Do?" on Sunday, August 7 from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Alan Beaulieu will provide the 2016 outlook and review 2015. Additionally, Alan will provide the economic insight into the future trends that may impact the Goodwill enterprise, with actionable strategies for capitalizing on cyclical opportunities and dodging economic danger.


This year's conference includes five pre-conference sessions, over 50 concurrent sessions, and several networking opportunities! The concurrent sessions allow attendees to focus on a single issue/topic using a fast-paced, engaging and informative format.

New to program are twelve MeetUps. They are small, informal conversations to share best practices and general experiences on a specific topic or issue such as marketing, budeting for the future, mobile trends, internet rumors and more! If you are looking for a non-instructor-led session that facilitates cross-sharing of information and experiences with your peers, sign up for as many MeetUps as you like. 

 


Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Credits*
GII has applied for but currently is not registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of Continuing Professional Education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA).  For more information about CPE credits, please click here


Member Marketplace Tradeshow
Lunch on Monday and Tuesday will be in the Member Marketplace Tradeshow.  Our marketplace grows larger every year and we invite you to meet with vendors, partners and sponsors to find out what services and products they provide to help with your business needs.

Scholarships
Scholarship applications are no longer being accepted. All applicants have been informed of their application status. 

Conference Hotel
The Summer Conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis Hotel in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Rooms will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis, so we recommend registering and booking your accommodations early in order to secure the special rate of $175 per night.  Once you receive the registration confirmation email, there will be instructions for making your hotel reservations The hotel reservations are based on availability and you will receive a confirmation email from the Hyatt. The hotel is still accepting reservations; if you are unable to reserve a hotel room, email the GII Events and Sponsorship team.

Substitution Policy
Substitution of registrants is permitted as long as both individuals are from the same Goodwill. Contact the
 GII Events and Sponsorship Team to request a substitution. 
 
Cancellation Policy
Notice of cancellation and any request for refund of conference registration fees must be made in writing and received by July 31, 2016. All refund requests received after this date will be denied. A $100 administrative fee will be deducted from all cancellation requests, as funds will have already been allocated for your attendance. Refund payments will not be processed until after the conference. In the event of a no show, the registrant is still responsible for payment of the registration fee and no refund will be given. Cancellation and refund requests should be emailed to the
 GII Events and Sponsorship Team.
