WELCOME & INVITATION
Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 22nd International Plant Growth Substances Association (IPGSA) conference to be held in Toronto, Canada from June 21sd to 25th, 2016. The Conference provides a unique opportunity to mingle with different scientists involved in cutting edge research and interact with plant researchers to share ideas. This year, the IPGSA Conference consists of seven plenary sessions including a session on “the Future of Plant Growth Regulators” and 15 concurrent sessions that connect plant growth substances with all aspects of plant biology.

The venue of the conference is the historical setting of Victoria College on the campus of the University of Toronto. University of Toronto is Canada's leading teaching and research university. Founded in 1827, U of T has been the source of many great biological discoveries ranging from insulin to stem cells. Victoria College, which is nestled in the northeast part of the downtown St George campus, was founded in 1836 and has had many notable alumni including Prime Mister Lester B. Pearson, literary critic Northrop Frye, author Margret Atwood and filmmaker Norman Jewison, who is presently the Chancellor of the college.  The meeting will be held in and around the Isabel Bader Theatre, which is a staple of Toronto’s film festivals.

Toronto is Canada’s largest, most diverse city (2.8 m) and is a global centre for business, finance, arts and culture. We encourage participants to not only enjoy the science of the IPGSA meeting but also to experience the many summer activities that make Toronto one of the world's most livable cities, attracting over 25 m visitors a year.

We’re looking forward to meeting you in Toronto in 2016.

With best regards,
